Who can benefit from Melrose Treasures Estate Sales?
Individuals moving into a retirement or nursing home, family estate executors, heirs, trustees and those individuals moving out of state or into a smaller residence and need to liquidate part or all of their possessions.

How large does my estate have to be for an estate sale?
In order for us to be able to book your estate/moving sale, we need to determine the minimum dollar amount of salable items in your home or business. Our team of professional appraisers will be more than happy to assist you in determining the value of your estate.

For some of my pieces, can I set the lowest price at which I am willing to sell them?
Of course! We understand that there is a price point at which you would rather keep your item than sell it. For any of your items you can establish a minimum price which we will not go below in order to sell it.

What do you charge for your services?
Melrose Treasures Estate Sales charges a percentage of the gross sales or a mutually agreed upon fee.

How do you price my items?
Our team at Melrose Treasures has years of experience in the world of vintage decorative arts and furniture. Coupled with careful examination of results from our previous sales we will price your estate thoroughly with evidence based comps and care.

What happens to items that don't sell at my estate sale?
We offer a separate clean out service. See our services page for more information.

How will I be paid for my items?
After the conclusion of your estate sale we will provide you a cashier’s check for all money owed.

How involved do we need to be in our estate sale?
At Melrose Treasures, we handle every detail of your sale from organizing and pricing to staging and hosting so you don’t have to lift a finger. To ensure the most efficient, secure, and successful event possible, we kindly ask that clients and family members not participate in the planning, setup, or execution of the sale. Our experienced team has a proven process designed to present your items beautifully, attract serious buyers, and maximize your return all while giving you peace of mind knowing everything is being taken care of professionally from start to finish.

Do I have to attend my estate sale?
Absolutely not. We will handle everything from security to payment. We want to remove any burden liquidating your estate brings. You can have peace of mind knowing Melrose Treasures is on the job.

How much will holding an estate sale cost me?
There is no cost to you the seller to hold an estate sale. Melrose Treasures will handle all marketing, and execution expenses on your behalf. You will receive a check when the sale is complete.
FAQ - How to Shop Our Estate Sales

How do I attend a Melrose Treasures Estate Sale?
Stay informed of our estate sales by signing up for our email list. Once you know about the sale we will have a sign up sheet outside the morning of the sale. Sign up when you arrive and we will let shoppers in on a first come first serve basis.

Do I need to RSVP?
You do not need to RSVP to shop a Melrose Treasures estate sale. Join our mailing list here to be kept informed of upcoming sales!

Can I bring a purse / bag to the estate sale?
Purses, bags of any kind, boxes, pet an baby carriers are not permitted inside. We kindly ask that you please leave them along with your your heavy coat and/or big sweater in your vehicle and bring your wallet and phone. We cannot hold your belongings due to potential liability.

I see something online I want to buy, will you hold it for me?
You may call one hour after the estate sale begins to place an order over the phone for us to hold an item for you.

Do you offer refunds if I am not satisfied with my purchase?
There are no refunds or exchanges for Melrose Treasures Estate Sales. All items are pre loved and sold as is. Please thoroughly inspect items you are considering before purchasing.
